The 9 standart and 3 suite rooms in the 19th century style of decoration, Konuk Evi offers the warmth of an ancient İstanbul house to its guests. In fine weather, meals and refreshments are served in the spacious garden under the trees on the terraces and, on rainy days, in a conservatory of marble and crystal.
A genuine Roman holy water building, that was discovered in the middle of the garden has been converted into a unique type of bar.
This building, created in 1993/1994 by Çelik Gülersoy, whose signature is to be found on so many other buildings of this type in Istanbul, is in a sense an invitation card from old Istanbul, with gilt lettering and lace edding, sent out the whole world. |
